Seems like a good prospect with alot of good offers, will have to see how things pan out. Really starting to like that Tennessee pipeline though, good players for sure.

James Stone has set his first OV and Its Notre Dame. Oct. 13 vs USC. Says that Bama is recruiting him hardest but ND is not far behind. Will make his decision after the season.

What did James Stone do to get bumped so far down in the Rivals 100 and O-linemen rankings?
answer.gif
We still love James' upside, but he showed at the Tennessee camp that he's got some work to do to be at the very top of the offensive linemen rankings. The Tennessee OL/DL camp had some of the top defensive linemen in the country in attendance, and James really struggled with the speed off of the edge. Some of us think he may even be a guard at the next level. He's still highly rated, but we want to see him continue to improve his foot quickness and pass set to block the really elite prospects. ? Recruiting Thoughts

James Stone – For the longest time, Alabama concerned me the most with Stone. My fear is that ‘Bama wins the title and Stone falls in love with Tuscaloosa because of all the pandemonium that ensues thereafter. Notre Dame needs to win out and win its bowl game to land Stone, and that’s not a guarantee it would be enough override the positive momentum in the state of Alabama.

Didnt get the warm fuzzy feeling reading his article on rivals. Said the trip was a 7, If true i hope the staff decides to focus more on Linder, James, and Henderson

Odd..... just read an espn on the trail note saying Tennessee didnt make his top 5..... not even sure if we did, but im guessing yes.

Dont have premium access, so idk who the top 5 are, but Tennessee isnt a player according to the tital and short part of the article shown.

Eliminated ND from his list. Now down to Auburn, Alabama, Stanford and Vandy. But it looks to be Alabama and Auburn...

Tuesday's quick hitters - ESPN

1/6/10 JC Shurburtt ESPN

ESPN affiliate AuburnUndercover.com reports that offensive lineman James Stone is down to Alabama, Auburn and Vanderbilt. The Crimson Tide is still in good shape to land the talented lineman, who participated in the Under Armour All-American game last week.

Tennesse. Said he didnt want to play for Kiffen
He went back to the school of his choice after %$#@@#$% left, this guy has my respect and I hope he has a stellar carreer at UT. Integrity like this is not seen much these days. Reminds me of Nix and his promise to come no matter the coach. Good luck James Stone.
