Even without an ND offer, Witherspoon considers Notre Dame to be in his Top 3 (along with Michigan & Georgia), and expects the Irish to still be there when he makes a final decision. Thus far, Michigan is the only one of the three that has offered Witherspoon a scholarship, but he is hoping to receive an ND offer shortly.

Where is Rutgers? He's a NJ guy.

Rutgers has offered but Marcus does not seem to have much interest in them. He is planning on visiting Pitt, and then maybe Penn State, and wants to go to camps this summer at Penn State, Michigan, and ND. He is a NJ guy, but South Jersey (Absecon) which has more of a Philly influence, so maybe that is the reason why Rutgers has no appeal to him, although it is more likely because he thinks he has a chance at more exposure with Michigan or ND.

Witherspoon verbally committed to Michigan over the weekend. He still listed ND as one of the schools he picked Michigan over, even though ND never came close to offerring him.

I tried to find his thread yesterday to announce it, but I couldn't. Nice job IUB. He was UM lock from the begining.

Half of the Skunkbear class thus far is what Notre Dame has left for them.

O'Neill
Wermers
Moore

And now this kid. All good football players, but only Moore was offered. And ND got the two tight ends they wanted, so Moore and Ayles were moved out.

I like to see the ND staff out recruiting scUM.

I hope this translates on to the field in the years to come.
