Brown goes to the same high school as '08 commits Anthony McDonald and Dayne Crist. There is some indication on one of the recruiting sites that we are looking to make him our third commit from Sherman Oaks. He hasn't gotten a lot of interest so far; Scout shows Utah State as his only offer. Anybody got anything here?

Slow week on the recruiting boards, this one looks to be a combo fishing expedition, just to create interest. Brown's 40 number of 4.41 on Rivals has to be questionable considering the lack of big time D-1 offers, something does not add up. Rivals also shows only Utah State as an offer. I would be surprised to see an offer here, unless he is still available at the end, a schollie is still available, and ND has failed to recruit any other RB. If you do see one before then, it is probably not a good sign on how positive the staff feels about Thomas, Gray, Ryan Williams.

Got it, and sorta figured the same - just thought I'd bring it up. Hopefully this doesn't signal bad news with our other, higher-profile recruits.

In the words of Bear's general manager Jerry Angelo, "Its just a crap stir." I don't think its a bad signal, just looking under more unturned stones, now that the initial feeding frenzy of, "Who is this guy? I hope we get him!!!" is over.

ND may still not be showing any love for Thaddeus, but Thaddeus must be still hoping for a shot at joining Crist & McDonald in South Bend as he is planning on attending an ND camp the weekend of 6/23. Only offer remains as Utah State, so he would have to really wow the staff to even be considered for an offer.
