I'm not too down on it. We've gotten really good backs the past two years, and we're still seriously in the mix with plenty of talented runners still. It would have been nice to raid California yet again, if only for bragging rights, but there were some flags that had me thinking Scott wasn't ND's one way or another. His whole transfer to a different HS situation sounded like a "me" move, and the way he talked about depth charts and what he wanted from his decision, I never got a strong feeling about him that was positive.
For the moment, I'm pinning my hopes on Carlton Thomas. When they saw the film on him, they didn't hesitate at all to offer, and despite having offered others before him at RB, they very quickly told him it was the best RB tape they'd seen this year (pretty much telling him he was their #1 target). Plus, he seems to have genuine interest with the Irish. *Fingers crossed*
