If Jim Knowles is available this offseason... Freeman has to reach out, right?

Belichik, Fickell, and Napier should be let go. Everyone else should stay IMO.

    James Franklin Appreciation Thread

Jason Candle is a mediocre coach who typically has the most talented team in the MAC and they blow it more times than not. Toledo guy here, most people wouldn't shed a tear if he was poached.

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

This is so wild to see. I am still a Hartman stan and will instead blame the FCS-level receivers he had to work with. Still, Carr is the first ND QB who gets easy short passes since Clausen & Company. Teams respect this receiving corp and Carr's arm. It's nice to have nice things.

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Because it's bullshit logic and groupthink. Beating Penn State last year was incredible. Then less than a year later, theyre a fraud program? Why belittle them when that takes away from what Notre Dame accomplished? Because Penn Stats also returned a lot. I thought Notre Dame should have been...

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Notre Dame won. There, now it's not weird for you. So Notre Dame is terrific and the team that lost to them by a field goal is a fraud. Makes no sense. Nevermind the 30ish years before last year during which ND did not win big bowl games. Using your logic, ND was bound to always lose those...

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Penn State and Notre Dame played a game last year. It went down to the last seconds. The game was about as even as could be. But one team is a fraud and was overhyped in the preseason, and one was "uhhhh the second best team in the nation." Got it.

Frauds last year, then what was ND?

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

You're analysis is just "they are always frauds?" They returned a lot from a team that narrowly missed the national championship, and brought on the DC that was praised for putting Ohio State over the hump. They had legitimate reasons to be ranked highly.

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

I want to be like "hey stop overhyping this dude," but I just can't. He is just that dude. Queue "there's a bubble" meme, I guess. Every time he rolls out and delivers a laser on a deep out route in full stride I think back to a quote from Saban about how QBs who can consistently hit deep out...

    UND News (General)

Those are all fair takes. One of my favorite stories describing my experience at Ohio State in direct comparison with an elite school is this: I took a microfinance class that was done in coordination with Stanford. We would watch their lecture live via Skype, and have Q&A with our professor...

    UND News (General)

The problem I've always had with that metric is that the public Big Ten schools are educating a lot of kids that couldn't get into ND, Duke, etc... but a lot who could. There are more kids with an ACT of X at Ohio State than at Notre Dame. That works for 36s, 33s, etc. In other words, it is...

Agreed. I received a 93% scholarship so I went to Ohio State. Definitely had my fair share of 500-student lectures with Indian GAs that I could barely understand. But thats what I deserved for not testing out of calculus and being in the engineering college lol I graduated with $2,500 in...

    UND News (General)

"In last year’s rankings, for example, donations from alumni were weighted at 3% in a university’s overall score – now that number is zero. Class size went from 8% to zero. Another change involves research: if professors are cited in major publications, that can boost a school’s score, too...

Chris "Belt To" Ash - Defensive Coordinator

And you hate to play to a narrative... but if ND tarmac'd his ass in Arkansas, finished 10-2, and the defense played much better, there is an honest and serious argument to make about the early season losses and why the Irish should sneak into the playoff. You simply do not go from #1 to #105...

'24 MI QB CJ Carr (Notre Dame Signee)

His 167 QB rating is the highest for a Notre Dame QB since 2004 (that's as far as ESPN goes). Better rating, albeit through three games, than Clausen and Brady.
