It’s been echoed on the board by other posters, but I’m not so sure. Pavia and Jerry Kill have been a massive part of the success there in the last 2 years. He also wasn’t the greatest recruiter while at ND and we’re now recruiting at levels we haven’t seen since the Holtz years.

Maybe Denbrock is also just setting everyone for this:

    2025 College Football Playoffs

We’re a week before Thanksgiving and Miami has played TWO road games and has left the state of Florida ONCE? Truly incredible they couldn’t manage that schedule unscathed after ND.

Joe Rudolph - Offensive Line Coach

If injury is your only reason for replacing Otting for Sully, Otting would be healthier by the time playoffs begin with around 4 weeks in between.

Can he try it again the next two weeks please?

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Just wait. If USC beats Oregon and they jump Miami next week it’ll be an absolute meltdown (and somehow still ND’s fault)

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Exactly, I don’t think that’s how it works. Just because teams are in back to back positions in the rankings doesn’t mean they’re in the same “tier.” Oregon as a 1 loss team is most likely being grouped with Oklahoma and ND than they are the other 1-loss teams.

Explains why we didn’t get our Monday final thoughts column today. Thanks Pete!

This is exactly what happened on this 4th down play. Why are we asking Pauling to become a fullback and lead through the hole on 4th and short?

Now THIS is how we should run direct snaps to Love. Someone with connections get this into the offensive staff’s hands

    Pitt Postgame

I’m perplexed this still isn’t solved this late into the season. We’ve rolled Carr to his multiple times on goal to go, cutting an already short field in half again, with really only 1 option to throw to. Why keep trying it? Where’s a throwback TE or RB leak if you’re hellbent on rolling Carr...

It will be pretty obvious if they’re having a say in the game since ND just came off a penalty free game without ACC refs and Pitt is literally 4th worst in the FBS for penalties per game. They average 8.4 a game!

It was from a few years ago I’m pretty positive. May have even been one of those “anonymous” Athletic articles with coaches.

    2025 College Football Playoffs

I enjoy Cover 3 for big picture college football and their banter, but mannnn they are not fans of ND whatsoever. It’s actually pretty funny how much they go out of their way to backhand ND sometimes

    Navy Postgame

The great thing is this is a crucial teach tape play even though Carr had as many touchdowns as incompletions (3) while averaging damn near 14 yards a completion! Exceptional performance with room for growth (at least on that play)

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

I really enjoy Hit & Hustle with Greg and Jamie at ISD. They know ball and have great rapport. Greg let’s his fandom come out to relate to us psychos and Jamie has incredible insight into film and strategy. Speaking of which, they are live now:

    2025 CFB Polls and Rankings

Do college football reporters really not understand how the sport works? Or are they playing dumb to get the ND hate engagement? I still can’t believe we have our own beat reporter (Sampson), who I like, saying ND’s ranking is more “vibes” than anything. From a power rating and advanced...

'23 MO CB Christian Gray (Notre Dame Signee)

I got bad news for you. He left the game with an injury Saturday I think? I’m very surprised they played him knowing he’s already re-aggravated stuff this season. I thought they would go very conservative and rest him until Pitt for this exact reason.

'23 TX WR Jaden Greathouse (Notre Dame Signee)

Would be ideal to 10-2 with these two redshirting, play when it matters in the playoffs and get an extra year with them. Easier said than done for multiple reasons.

4 week timeline for soft tissue is usually the norm and longer if you have a history, which he does. They’re also probably being overly cautious because they completed mishandled his hamstring injury his freshman year.
