I'd agree there was poor passing at times, but not horrible. I think the fact they are the home team, and it was the opener had a lot to do with it too. I hope they come back down to earth vs Egypt and get bounced by Uruguay.

Yup. Their defense has been terrific and that counter has been crazy fast. My gut thought this would be a good one, while my brain kept telling me Germany would be up by 2 at half. MX coming to play. I just do not want to see Germany in second place and opening up the knockout round vs Brazil.

I didn't say they would walk over Egypt, I said it's interesting to see if they do. My point is Russia looked really strong, but it was Saudi, and we'll see who they really are come next game.

With the US out, I'm all in on Germany too. Like I said in a previous post, I share the Iceland love. Drawing was pretty much a win for them. Great story and I had almost forgot about the 2016 Euros.

Stopped at the QT (gas station) today with my Germany jersey on. I was surrounded by Mexican's wanting to talk about the game. Spent 15 minutes shooting the shit. One old guy invited me to his house to watch, and some others told me the cantina they'd be at.

If I can get 5 peeps, I'll create a group. We did one last WC and the last Euros. It made the uninteresting games pretty fun. Overall was a blast. If anyone else wants to create it, feel free!

Ireland would be up with Italy if they were worth a shit. Hell, Italy should probably be lower since they didn't get an invite lol. My blood is Germany, Italy, Ireland, Welsh, and French that I will never admit to in person... I've actually cheered for Mexico a few times at a few "watch"...

I was in your space last month. I generally cheer for 4 teams. The US is first obviously, Germany a strong 2nd, Italy, and a distant 4th of Argentina. With the US gone I was pretty much disgusted. The whole Russian hosting thing... That aspect I think could be as interesting as the games...

YUP!! Let's grab that 5th star!! Will be cheering for Argentina a tiny bit in all games unless they end up playing Germany. Will be cheering against England, France, and Russia in every game....

The team certainly exceeded expectations. Most were calling for 5-0 win by France,,,, so I'll take it. France still dominated possession, and passing was scary. Defense was good. Not sure I am a fan of the formation. Steffen's save at the end was awesome. Parker and Green did very well IMO...

GO USA! Would love to see the good guys get an upset since they are sitting out of the dance.. And F France...
