Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

I used a vague analogy (it's not perfect) with a friend the other day: It's sort of like if Dasani water ran a media blitz attacking Coke in trying to prove how much better water is for you than pop. Like yea, we get it Dasani. Water is better for you than pop, but you're attacking the...

    The Pete Bevacqua Thread

I thought about this too. People are downplaying other ND sports. No they don't bring in millions in revenue like football. But lacrosse, soccer, women's bball (I'm probably missing others), have been pretty dominant. ACC shouldn't take that for granted.

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

That's the point! ND was like "WTF bro." Pete B texted and called Jim about it and they only proceeded to continue to do it.

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

ND is also 32-7 against the ACC since their partial member agreement. Yet none of those wins counted as conference losses to the opposing teams. ND doesn't take a seat at their conference championship table. And yes, ND is entirely responsible for their sellouts. I heard Jamie and Greg say...

Time for new partner: Big 10 or SEC?

The irony in "ND needs to join a conference! Harrumph!" and then ND turns around and creates a massive Super League.

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Good write up of events. I'll say it again. Notre Dame needs to sue ESPN. Gloves off. Go right at them. As a potential favorite to win the whole thing, sue them for the full amount of payout. Tell the world that this is not okay and will not be tolerated. Everyone is trying to make this...

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Can someone explain to me the benefit of this MOU and the automatic qualifier for Top 12 and up? 1) College football already thinks that ND gets preferential treatment. Is that not what this is? 2) If it's protection from a similar situation as this year, what is stopping the committee from...

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Correct. It was illogical for him to say that because of said rankings going into the game. I am not kidding when I say that someone needs to find a way to sue the committee and espn. I'm not a lawyer. I have no idea if it's possible or how you'd even prove it. But something has to be done...

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Haha. That's fair. I just found it crazy that someone who played football at a very high level and now sits on a podcast talking about football, you'd think he'd know the ESPN/ACC affiliation. I mean it's all over their broadcasts. Also in fairness, I truly wonder how many casual people...

    Looking Ahead to 2026

Thankyou. I haven't read this whole thread yet, but there seems to be a huge pitchfork reaction to the CFP snubbing that suddenly ND is going to annihilate teams next year in route to a championship. I'm actually in "let's see" mode because of losing Love and Price. Love especially was the...

Same, although I might tune in to watch IU and OSU curb stomp whichever SEC team they play.

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Again, ESPN is gaslighting everyone. Every person outside of that network's control is telling the truth. And before any Non-ND person yells "Brady Quinn is a ND guy!" Know that Brady works for FOX and so does Mark Ingram....who's also saying the same things. So is Damien Harris (CBS)...

    2025 College Football Playoffs

Alabama got left out last year too, which I think played a role. They absolutely were not going to deny their darling again. The good news/silver lining: The SEC, with all of their representation, will still likely lose this year. OSU and Indiana are so much better than everyone else in...

    2025 College Football Playoffs

This is something that your normal average Joe should be able to understand. Seeing those numbers side by side and seeing the letters ESPN next to almost everything. People need to wake up.

    ACC discussion thread

Just to be clear, I'm operating under the assumption that this will be the end of ND's Football independence. If the idea is a short term fix to 1) leave the ACC and 2) maintain Ind. status until something happens in 2030, then I agree, the Big12 could be a stop gap. Avoid ESPN at all costs...

    ACC discussion thread

Yeah if I'm the B1G, I'm monitoring the landscape and seeing that ND and the ESPN are at odds. ND doesn't seem to want to be partners with the ACC anymore either. So the B1G, along with FOX, may have a ton of leverage over ND if ND does in fact come calling for a spot in their conference.

    ACC discussion thread

I honestly have just lived my ND fan life with the assumption that ND will stay IND for as long as they possibly can. With that said, given how gigantic the B1G and SEC are and how much leverage they seem to have, is there a window of opportunity for ND that could close? I understand ND is a...
