I think we all know deep down that Rusillo and the SEC defenders are right (even if I wouldnt say it publicly). SEC + Big 10 expansion have created massive SOS distortions that didnt exist previously (outside of a few SEC West teams). It didnt matter as much with the 4 team playoff because a 2...
Despise how people cite these SOS metrics. Who gives a shit if you beat a bunch of mediocre Big 10 teams if you lose the only game against ranked competition? (Looking at you Texas and PSU).
ND and Imhotep not a great fit, although basketball player Elijah Taylor did sign with us from there a few years back prior to transferring to Quinnipiac.
From Page 1 & 2 - Let's remember what Justin was as a prospect early in.
Justin not developing was bad luck, taking Daniel Anderson was the reach / mistake.
23.4 would still be our highest SP+ rating since the mid 90s, lot of very good, not elite teams this year.
ESPN’s FPI likes us a bit more - has us at 4.

Tend to agree that OSU is better than Texas.
All of our offenses struggled need to put in the context of Denbrock not using QB runs with Riley to prevent injuries against lesser opponents. We’re effectively saving his best trait as a QB for big / close games.
Yup, and its very obvious we dont use desgined runs nearly as much against weaker opponents (most of the schedule) due to injury risk, so essentually we're handcuffing ourselves on offense outside of big / close games.
