The thing here is Hartman makes or breaks this. Hopefully the Parker hire doesn't compromise anything, but it's certainly understandable if it did.

Why does ND have to be the place OCs cut their teeth tho? Much less of a risk if you have an offensive HC, but for MF? Seems risky when it didn't need to be. If we were looking for a grand slam hire, Ludwig would have been a home run and Parker feels more like a HBP, take your base.

At least Ludwig has been calling plays for ages, has a history of QB development and as an added bonus, is our highest rival's daddy. He wasn't sexy, but he was an established, successful OC. Maybe Parker turns out ok, but I guess I'd feel better if he had ANY history suggesting all he needed...
