    Superconferences & Realignment

This is why NCAA football is going nuts. Everyone is only thinking of themselves and not the collective (I'd also prefer ND remain more "national"). It's where leagues like the NFL have an advantage. Sport needs some sort of Commissioner with power. Doubt it would ever happen.

    Superconferences & Realignment

Citing “mental health” has taken over from “think of the children”. You argue with it and you’re an asshole.

Yeah, wasn’t expecting that from a guy with accountant in his name. Essentially, everyone wants to bang ND.

    Superconferences & Realignment

Yeah, it’s definitely on me. I don’t watch MLB or NBA like I used to either. Got into following other sports. It’s really just the white noise around the sport that gets tiresome. Living in SEC country is a drain with constant arguments about SOS and other nonsense. Obviously others enjoy that...

    Superconferences & Realignment

What I’ve realized is that I’m not really a college football fan anymore, I’m a Notre Dame fan. Barely pay attention to the playoffs if we’re not in it. I’d rather watch high school (helps that my son is playing) or NFL. Both superior overall. IMO.

    What book(s) are you reading?

Here in Tennessee, it’s pretty much June and July. Think my son starts end of this coming week.

    2023 Fall Camp

Why didn’t he? I remember ND recruiting him and him picking MSU.

'09 IN OT Zack Martin (Notre Dame Man)

Sounds good until the team cuts you halfway through the contract.

ND's Talking Heads ... The good, bad & ugly

It will never happen but from a pure entertainment value it would be awesome if ND was in the SEC.

'18 SC QB Sam Hartman (Notre Dame Transfer)

Really? I’d be shocked. They had a bunch of high end talent on that team including six guys drafted in the fist 4 rounds, including two in the 1st and two in the 2nd. Who on our defense is on that level? Morrison eventually? Hope you’re right.

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

It's about providing the best atmosphere for development. These kids are already practicing, why not have them coached by the best coaches, they are already working out, why not strive to have the best S&C program, they are already on a nutrition program, why not have the best one. Same for...

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

These top kids want to go to a place where they can best be developed for the NFL. Where ND consistently drops the ball isn't in making kids go to class, or having standards for their athletes. It's in not providing the best environment to be prepared for the NFL. We just watched our OC search...

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

This is reason people get upset when we miss out on the top rated guys. They hit at a higher level and that's what you need to compete. 2018 Clemson and 2019 LSU were brought up earlier. If you look at those teams you see elite talent all over the field. I believe Clemson's defense had 9 of the...

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

I’m not that impressed with the whole blue chip rate thing. Steve Angeli, as the 43rd ranked QB, is counted the same as a 5* player. We’re not getting any more elite kids under Freeman. We’re trading in some high ranked 3* kids for low ranked 4*s. It’s better but unlikely it will be enough to...

State of the Recruiting Class - 2024

The fact we only have two (and Hartman is not a 1st round talent) speaks to the problem. The writer is correct that ND needs more high end talent to compete for titles. Can’t imagine anyone disagrees with that assessment.
