In 1988 when the Irish won the NC... there were 17 Bowl Games.... there are 43 this year..... they are really bad because bowl games have been watered down with watered down teams........ I remember when the Liberty Bowl in Memphis (where I'm from) was a top 3-4 Bowl game.

When actually, it was his assistants and THEIR recruiting while other SEC teams on their schedule were basically in a rebuilding mode. Go back and look at the SEC...

Honestly - next year.... I truly think that the 12 team playoff might cannibalize SEC teams. Because we all know the committee (outside the SEC champ) will probably put in an additional 3-4 SEC teams.
