I don't think you’re derailing anything as this is a topic the IOC has been dealing with for years. I feel bad for some of these athletes as their stories are different from the ones that have been debated publicly in the US. They’re not dudes who one day decided to compete against women...

I believe in track, athletes who are intersex (typically female anatomy at birth, internal testes) have to take testosterone suppressors to get their levels down to an acceptably range. Would be surprising if that wasn’t at least the same standard for a contact sport like boxing.

Obviously they are not in working order if you need to shut the breaker to keep from losing your mind. I’d still lean towards laziness in replacing the batteries or a bad (or multiple) detector, than any electrical problem. Keep us posted.

Really fun to watch yesterday. I really try to not let all the “noise” influence how I watch sports but this team already seems infinitely more likable than the last “generation”.
