If Jonathan Smith leaves Oregon State that is going to crush the Beavers. I truly feel bad for what's to come of their football program. Getting a raw deal at a time when they are very competitive. Also, I'm fairly surprised they're going with Smith over Elko. Smith is a very good coach...

Dudes crazy. I legitimately believe there is something wrong with him.

'22 NJ QB Steven Angeli (Notre Dame Signee)

I'd argue that it's just a part of the larger parity in college football right now. Mediocrity is the space that most teams occupy.

    Who's Next? - 2024 Edition

Very good class. Prospects that should win a lot of games at Notre Dame.

    2023 Transfer QB

The un-doing wouldn’t be with the QB’s but the HC that decided not to hire him because his QB’s didn’t want him. Have to remember, Klein is a legend in Manhattan. He may feel a certain way about leaving that for a HC that handled matters as such.

I can dig it. Quality addition.

'24 NC ATH Bryce Young (Notre Dame Signee)

He is older, committed before, and is rated higher than him. What am I missing?

'24 NC ATH Bryce Young (Notre Dame Signee)

You know, that's a good one that I wouldn't have thought of. He rose a lot in 247's rankings to 47th but per the composite he only got to #174th.

I genuinely don't know the answer but though it'd fun brainstorming names.

He's the best legacy recruit since?

    2023 Transfer QB

FWIW, it wouldn’t have been Pyne. It would’ve been Hartman and Buchner. I liked Klein then and I like him now. I just don’t know how you un-do that situation.

    2023 Transfer QB

Freeman after the Wake game said how special Hartman was and it's sad they only have him for 2 more games but they'll make the most of those 2 games. They are not benching Sam Hartman. What are we even talking about here.

‘24 NC DT Nnamdi Ogboko (UGA Commit)

It’s home. If you want to get these guys away from home, you have to offer them something more. If ND was playoff bound I can assure you, some of these guys would be calling.

    2023 Transfer QB

The combination of 63.9% and 7.6 yds/att is not that impressive. It’s says his lack of accuracy is not made up for with big plays. Heck, neither is 3,000 yards. It put him 40th nationally last year. Of the top 50 QB’s in yards last year, he ranked 32nd in comp pct. Of that same group of 50...

Notre Dame fizzling on the field likely played a role in some of this. See bowl projections thread. Kids don’t dream of playing in the pop tarts bowl.

Also, keep in mind that he’d be walking in the door to a program that has recruited the 22nd ranked 2023 class. And, 26th ranked 2022 class. They have some legitimate prospects in those two classes. For comparison Duke is 68th and 61st. Duke has 1 4 star prospect between those two classes...

Whatever has gone wrong at MSU has jaded folks opinion of them. Michigan State, as a football program, is undoubtedly a step up from Duke. They bring in something like 75% more in revenue and spend even a little more than that versus Duke. As an entire athletic department, I believe MSU...

'25 FL DB Ivan Taylor (Alabama Verbal)

Per the composite, the highest rated S since Hamilton in the 2019 class. In fact, he’d be the only top 100 S over that time.
