Not at all....year after year with a top 2 recruiting class is different in a time where Alabama was using NIL before it was a thing and SEC allowing 30 commits a season.

Willie Clark, Dean Lytle, Dorsey Levens and Jeff Burris were all RB recruits as well.... Clark, Burris and Lytle ended up on the defensive side and Levens transferred out.

Holtz had RB rooms with 6-7 NFL Draft picks and some ended up at other positions and still in the 1st Rd.

Probably in coverage, most likely former WRs excel in coverage as opposed to the run.

Didn't matter if Edward Scissorhands was the QB with 30+ 5* players on both sides of the ball during that time.
