Alabama and UGA are getting a bit too much credit based on reputation. UGA looked very bad in that loss to Ole Miss and their QB play has been weak (17 TDs vs, 12 INTs). AL is a few steps below Saban standards (they were also weaker in 2023).

Not a great look for Jake but I will say that Kirby Smart called him an idiot and “stupid“ during his press conference (unless it was a doctored video). I wonder if Smart publicly referred to the 30 players arrested or ticketed since the beginning of 2023 as idiots and stupid?

I don‘t think you can look at any player unless you include all his attributes in the assessment. If he didn’t have running ability, he may not even be a starter and his playing style would completely change. That’s like saying if you took away MJ’s jump shot then he would have been a mediocre...

All the injury time has definitely set him back but it appeared he may have turned the corner in the second half.
