I hear you. The Sunday after the A&M victory. A group of my fellow northeast located ND fans had begun to put things in motion to get to MetLife for the Navy game, and have our wives spend the day in the city to make it possible. As you can imagine that group message has gone quiet the past few...

    Sep 14 | Purdue

There are hardly any marquee games this weekend. Plenty of eye balls will be on this game, and to see how this team bounces back or to continue to laugh at thier downfall. Purdue is Purdue, but it would still be a Big Ten opponent on the road. In state rivalry. Crowd will be hostile. If the...

    Coaching big board 2024

I’ll bite. Drinkwitz will be looking for a move this offseason possibly after he loses Cook and Burden. If he wins 10+ games again at Mizzou, and makes the playoffs we could certainly do worst. Of realistic options. He would certainly interest me.

    The ND QB Conundrum

Hopefully the one to break it is a Michigan Man’s grandson…because if he cannot do it. I may just give up all hope.

    The ND QB Conundrum

I think I could comfortably name 30-40 programs that have had better QB play than us since the 16’ Kizer final season…and I can’t even begin to explain how incredibly frustrated that makes me. It is demoralizing, and just unacceptable. I’m hopeful that Carr will fix that for the next few seasons.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Agreed. From a straight statically standpoint we may have just witnessed the worst performance from a ND QB this decade. I knew it was going to be a low QBR score, but 26 is one of the lowest I’ve ever seen for a ND QB Again, in perfect conditions.

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

He seems like a good kid. I would love if he succeeded here. The reality is he just put up a 26 QBR versus a mid tier MAC program at home in perfect weather conditions. For comparison Weigman scored a 31.8 last week. We all saw his arm talent (or lack there of) on that 2nd INT embarrassing...

‘21 AL QB Riley Leonard (Duke Transfer - Notre Dame Verbal)

Hendrix at least put up 41 vs NIU his senior transfer year at Miami (OH). We could still be playing right now, and there ain’t no way in hell Leonard would be at 41 right now. Haha

    NIU Postgame

Agreed. It was phenomenal. Kid is going to do great things either in the NFL or otherwise in his life. Unfortunately it doesn’t matter all that much if the play behind center doesn’t drastically improve.

    NIU Postgame

In my opinion, the odds would much more be in our favor if we bench Leonard and start Steve the rest of the way. That way the argument would be in our favor that Leonard was the reason for the embarrassing loss and Steve replaced him and played much better. Obviously, a lot of football left...

    NIU Postgame

I apologize if it’s already been said in these terms, but a lot of seniors gave up pro aspirations to come back for this run, if you bench Leonard and allow Steve to have his chance and he takes it…then come December we can spin this as a blip because of QB play and the season isn’t ruined. If...

I think it’s safe to say it isn’t, but it certainly the one we’ve paid the most for on the roster.

    Sep 7 | NIU

Well there is all the proof we need to see why there has been no downfield passing attack to speak of for (8) quarters now. That was under thrown by at least (5) yards when he had the full ability to step into and let it go. Awful

    Sep 7 | NIU

I think the NIU coach is going to be questioning that 53 yard FG when he goes to sleep tonight. Break this offense needed to start a drive with decent field position, and show some juice. Come on boys!

    Sep 7 | NIU

Agreed. Have to tell Riley at halftime to let it rip and see what we’ve got. If he doesn’t have the arm, then we need to see it. This isn’t winning football on offense at all.

    Sep 7 | NIU

It may be the offensive line, but the complete lack of a downfield passing attempt in now six quarters of football is incredibly alarming. You’re telling me we can’t connect one deep crossing route or one go route on a MAC level squad. Denbrock has to stop playing in a phone booth in the second...

    2024 Watch Party: WEEK ONE

Damn, that sucks. Golden Retrievers are an amazing breed, but that life expectancy is less then ideal. My mom and dad have had (4) in my lifetime and I’m not sure any of them saw a second decade. Glad Kirk gets to have these moments with his pup, especially if the end is near.

'24 GA OL Anthonie Knapp (Notre Dame Signee)

Anybody with a membership willing to share his PFF grade from the game? Very curious how his performance was graded.

    Coaching Carousel

Wvu grad here. I would be shocked if Neal Brown is the head coach still come this time next year. That was a pathetic showing yesterday in probably the biggest game in Morgantown this decade. If they lose the backyard brawl in two weeks the pitchforks / couch burning will be out in full force

    Texas A&M Postgame

He is not good at his job. Hate being an ageist with these things, but ESPN/ABC really needs a younger voice in that role soon.
