Pyne should've never saw the field at a place like ND. He's a 3rd string QB here and a backup elsewhere.

Given those options of Pyne right NOW vs a FR I'd take the FR. Pyne was below average at ND and has gotten considerably worse as a player and turnover prone, at least the FR has upside and can grow from his mistakes which seems like something Pyne has been unable to do.

Vernon no shot but Williams can play and I feel as if he was almost anywhere else he would be playing a lot more unfortunately. Seems our top rated WRs recently just waste away for years behind less talented players.

Agreed but if we keep whiffing on "quality" depth at a key position such as DL in recruiting then the portal is where you can make up for it in a pinch.

We have the better roster but it's no way around it, a "silly" game plan cost us the first game of the year and a "no-call" at the end of the next game cost us A&M. At least Keeley really wanted to be here but was pressured by family/town a la Amir Carlisle to go elsewhere. I think he can be a great player who already has great talent and elite measurables

Well that's the Draft projections and he's projected to test well at the combine/Pro Day so at worst he's a late 2nd Rd guy. Who compared Marsh to Julio Jones?? That's a bit off but he's a lot closer to Julio athletically compared to Strong who is a big/strong guy with pedestrian speed.

Def better prospect than Strong especially since Strong won't run well but Marsh is a lot higher on boards than Fields. Fields is projected late 3rd-4th and Marsh is viewed as a late 1st/2nd Rd pick.

Is Fields a better player? Yes Is Fields a better prospect? Yes Is Fields SIGNIFICANTLY better than Strong? No

He's not quite as twitchy as Boykin...Strong ran in the high 4.5s (4.57) while at Rutgers.
