2022 - State of the Recruiting Class thread

IMO, most highly recruited QBs are going to go portal hopping after year 1 if they don't play. The only way to get them to wait their turn is NIL. Exception is Quinn Ewers.

'23 MA LB Preston Zinter (Notre Dame Signee)

Singer said the staff thinks he has Lb versatility to play will or Rover. Nice to have. I'd still take one more LB

'23 NV CB Justyn Rhett (Georgia Verbal)

He is also documenting his entire recruitment and planning to make it as a movie or series on YouTube. Smart idea actually because he can monetize it. He has to create some drama to get clicks. Smart kid.

He is a good athlete but still need to see his film of him playing in space and coverage.

. . . Or HH said no thanks. Can't cut the mustard. Singer has nothing yet. Does Loy?

Matt Freeman prediction to ND. Sinclair is the last one and then the circle is complete

'22 MI OLB Joshua Burnham (Notre Dame Signee)

I remember in the Georgia game that the front 7 was so disruptive, both DL and LBs alike. JT Daniels couldn't get yards either. Like you said just need to have more system experience.

'22 MI OLB Joshua Burnham (Notre Dame Signee)

Would be an interesting development. At some point that vyper role is going to have to play in space more. As a side note, not sure I am completely sold on the 3 down front yet. ND had mixed results with it in 2021, however when Cincy played Georgia a few years ago when Freeman was there, it...

If Rees leaves who is the hire?

Visitors List - Class of 2023

Tough situation as well because whoever is behind Sneed and Burnham will sit IMO. Zinter has to see that and Freeman is probably taking that into account to a degree.

Visitors List - Class of 2023

Not sure how I feel about Zinter yet. I'd need to see more film of him in coverage. Haven't seen that yet.

'23 NC OT Sully Absher (Notre Dame Signee)

HH says make a choice by March or your spot is gone lol. I got Jagusah locked up and 6 others on deck. Want in? Clocks ticking.

Yes. This kid is a stud athlete.

'23 IN DB Daeh McCullough (Oklahoma)

His film is ok. Plays a lot of field corner, which he plays well. Nothing crazy stands out about him. I think he fits as a swing DB between field corner and safety. It would be nice to see what his ball skills are like because his film has none of that. Also good insurance policy to have if...

'23 MA LB Preston Zinter (Notre Dame Signee)

Singer also said they see him as having some positional flex as well. Possibly as an H back but right now he is a linebacker
