RL is a great leader, no question. But let's be honest here: his legs (not arm), this defense, O line and run game got ND to the natty. His arm is as shaky as his decision making throwing the ball. If ND is down two scores in the 4th, hell or even 3rd, and RL is at QB...OSU is smiling ear to ear.

I don't think the question is odd given what just happened vs PSU. Angeli looked more competent throwing a football when RL was out. If ND is down 2 scores late and the run game is out of the mix (this is RL's strongest attribute), I like Angeli's chances way more than RL in that scenario.

We can agree to disagree. If ND needs to start winging it around in the 4th to get back in it, I like Angeli over RL.

Anything is possible, but it seems for Golden that unless it's a head coach gig in college or NFL coordinator job, anything else is a lateral move.

Before the PSU game I was with my buddy at a bar. I wondered aloud if ND were down 14 late in the 3rd quarter, would they put Angeli in because of the passing ability? Judging on what he did in a short span, I wouldn't take it off the table vs OSU and they definitely aren't prepping for it...
