    Duke postgame

I think the OSU game took a lot of this team. That was an incredibly physical and when you consider how it ended emotionally draining game. For positives, winning the game when it looked like it was over will ease the pain of fumbling the OSU game and will instill a toughness that no amount...

    Central Michigan postgame

Hard to watch "sports" these days. Refs seem like gatekeepers. They create excitement by keeping games close or blatantly favor a team. CMU like NCState last week was kept in the game by officiating.

    TSU Post Game Thoughts

Just a few observations. Offensively, there are two unknowns. First are we lacking that home run threat on the outside to keep quality defense honest? Assuming we develop that outside threat, then will we be tough enough to grind yards and make high percentage plays…not grab bag chunk Kelly...

    Navy Postgame

Surprised how clean we played. Coaches deserve credit. Offensively, I wonder if our running game's effectiveness was the OL, Navy's undersized D or having a top notch QB. I think it was a combination. Hartman's arm was weaker than I thought, and I don't think he played up to his abilities...

    Post regular season thoughts

Successful season. Freeman still has a lot to learn. Rees still has a lot to learn. Given his experience, Golden was the most disappointing coach. The 3-3-5 defensive scheme should be banished. Dline will be HUGE question mark/weakness next year. It would help if we can find another top...

    Caleb Williams is a bitch.

    UNC Postgame

Satisfying win. NC's defense was worse than advertised. Nice to see play calling was not too cute. We found a running play that worked and ran it over and over again. This game should end the excuse that we lack personnel.

Each one of us has an internal ethic compass. I have made my point without considering Freeman. That my point is so beyond the pale for some of you is really revealing...and sad frankly. I have nothing more to add.

I am astounded that many of you, if you knew the call was bullshit, would just look away. The call wasn't a judgement call. It was blatantly wrong. Call me an idiot or whatever you want but I do not follow nor accept your degenerate logic.

If I was on the sideline and knew that call was bullshit, I would have declined it. No ifs, ands, or buts.

Why does the player's resiliency surprise you? This is not a young team playing true freshmen. There is a reason why we were ranked in the top ten coming into the season. There is a reason why we gave Ohio State a decent game. The problem is the head coach. Teams and organizations often...

    Cal Postgame Thread

The offsides call against Cal was bullshit. If we knew that it was bullshit, we should have declined the penalty, because that kind of bullshit call should not be tolerated or taken advantage of. Regarding the offense, it was the Tyree touchdown that allowed us to run the ball more...

You expected the subtle engagement that quality experienced coaches have or gravitas. Freeman lacks both. He seems awkwardly self aware and at times seems detached from the game. It might explain why he didn't challenge those questionable catches or engage with staff to consider challenging...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

Exemplifies the adage it isn't what you know but who you know. Rees is mediocre at best and in a just world would not get a whiff of an interview based on his resume.

How bad will it get lounge

No, Buchner was a project not the best we got. I think the offense should improve with Pyne. By improve, I mean become slightly more consistent. Opposing defenses will not be able to sell out against the run like they have...there will be a credible passing attack. Will it be enough to ease...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

I am simply point out the hypocrisy of those who argue to be patient with Freeman but not applying the same standards to other coaches. If we are going to be a day care for up and coming coaches, so be it.

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

Give him time. He is has the potential of being great OC. Wait until he gets his players....etc.
  18. N_D_Fighting_Irish

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

I doubt your characterization of who made those decisions is accurate. The final decision always falls on the head coach. Rees may suggest or offer his opinion but the final decision falls on the head coach. The OC follows the head coach. If the head coach is inexperienced and lacks...

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

So the head coach plays no part and has not the final say? The head coach?

    Tommy Rees - Offensive Coordinator

According to many, he was quite successful during that period. He was in fact in the running to be the HC. Again, why is he being mercilessly criticized (warranted I concede) to the point of demanding his dismissal? Yet Freeman needs time? Just saying.
