Are you being intentionally obtuse?
You know damn well that isn't a sure thing. How long was the extension he signed last year? Yet he still had to announce "run it back".
I think it's a normal reaction for people who care about something as much as many care about ND football. Especially the type of sickos who spend their time/energy on a messageboard.
Without clear evidence, "family man" isn't a phrase that should ever be applied to a high level football coach. What do these guys work? 70? 80 hours a week?
I think it's perfectly okay that they aren't a "family man".
Excited he is still coaching ND. I'm withholding making an opinion until the details come out, but the reporting so far leads me to believe this will be a thing after every season.
Are we really going to pretend BK in 2012 and MF in 2025 are the same, at all? I don't think they are even...
This. I wish he played better for Notre Dame, but it's not like he just didn't give a fuck.
He has goals and sunk cost might apply here. I wish him the best in his next step/journey and I hope it ends with at the very least, an earned degree providing opportunities.
Edit -
...wait what? Has...
I think they stay internal. I'm guessing either def passing coord/db coach Jenaro Gilford or Gary Anderson (not TCU version) a current analyst, prior head coach, reported as contributing a lot to the defense.
