Notre Dame is one of the best 12 teams in the country. There is no Miami vs Notre Dame debate. Miami is also one of the 12 best teams in the country. The debate is why the ACC screwed their best team out of a playoff berth. This is an ACC issue which has nothing to do with Notre Dame.

That would be like punishing the players on the team twice. First they lose their coach... then they miss the playoffs through no fault of their own. The optics on that would be horrible. Having said that, I wouldnt mind seeing ND play Ole Miss in round 1.

So if TAMU loses, Bama plays in the SEC championship and potentially jumps ND. ND @ 10 vs Ole Miss without a coach isn't bad. Also helps avoid Ohio State in round 2.

While I get all of that... if you take a step back it is a bit surprising at the same time. He didnt really deserve the ND OC job, but got it because of BK. He was OK in the role... but not great. He didnt really deserve the Bama OC job, but got it because of timing. He was OK in the role...

Miami isnt going to win their own conference and their conference is complete garbage. In what world is ND the problem?
