Here is Mayer's freshman stats: 42 rec, 450 yds, 2 TDs and this was with Ian Book. Book was a damn good QB for ND, but imagine if Mayer had a passing QB like Clausen or Carr. It wouldn't surprise me at all if Premer becomes ND's starting TE.

Premer should be a plug in and play right away guy for ND in 2026, a Michael Mayer 2.0. I think he could be one of CJ Carr's go to guy's.
