You must not be watching A&M this year. It's an absolute disaster. Their quarterback is incapable of completing a forward pass and they don't have a backup. Elko is attacking the media. This isn't a rough patch, it's going to stay this way.
College football (and life in general) is rarely as linear as you make things sound. A&M has all the ingredients needed to make a quick turnaround next season

We don't know what ND is offering, but I think it's safe to assume that A&M offered a lot of money. I can't blame anyone for taking the highest monetary offer. If he invests wisely (I know, big IF), he'll never have to work a day in his life. I could only dream of having $500,000 to invest at age 18

I bet the Venn Diagram of 18 year old recruits getting NIL money and 18 year old recruits blowing NIL money is a flat circle.

I hardly think it's a sinking ship, they literally beat ND and went to the Playoff a year ago. By this logic, every ND commit should've decommitted last year when we started 0-2

A&M is struggling this year but they still have a very good coach, plenty of money, and a great incoming recruiting class. Some kids just don't want to live in northern Indiana and go to class every day, and that's perfectly fine
Normally I’d agree but things are getting ugly behind the scenes. Elko is pissing off people with comments he made.

If they can get him on campus for the Miami game and A&M continues to play poorly, I think Freeman and the staff will close. I don’t see any reason to doubt the ND staff.

And also, they’re quite possibly selling him the dream of bringing A&M to prominence. About how they need him and he’s the missing piece. Quite like ND got Manti I’m sure.

You can add in all of the relatives pressuring the kids hoping to get a piece.
