II pod made it seem like there was a split amongst the staff on whether to retain him

Need to utilize Sneed and Ausberry's speed rushing the QB alot more, same mistake we made with Jaylon Smith.
Are you saying Jaylon did rush the QB a lot (too much) or did not? Jaylon’s ND career was just before I started really getting into ND football. He is an enigma to me. The tube highlights are good though.

If JOK rushed the passer more what would have happened?
I think a lot of fumbles, injuries and probably roughing penalties.
Would have been fun.

They didn't use him to the best of his abilities and not even close, he hardly ever rushed the passer but he was still an AA.

He played 9 snaps against IU and did have a sack. One snap versus UGA.
haha yea, I wouldn't say that's a decent amount of snaps. Maybe we'll hear from the beat this spring on his weight issues. Hopefully he puts himself in a position to log more snaps on passing downs this season then. It's ok, I was wrong.

Tyler James has him listed on second string. To add to that, Singer said he’s up to 221lbs and is having a good camp

Anything from Thomas and Dunham is a bonus. Don’t need Boub taking 45 snaps a game.

Partridge had some quotes on him, a lot about hiding him or accommodating him schematically. Maybe they find a niche role, but not sure that’s a good sign to be a true second string.

IMO It’s effectively a waste of PT to play him over Dunham and Ewetade as a situational pass rusher with 5 for 5. Even Ewatade who was a rail when he committed is already at 245. Idk what Loghan’s deal is but he doesn’t seem like he’s ever hitting 240+

Agreed. I just can't see them investing in a guy they won't ask back for 2027 over someone like Ewetade.

At best he will be the 5th guy in sub packages, I expect Keeley and Dunham to be the first two guys after Young and Traoré.

Not a waste IF he is a better pass rusher. Trying to win it all this year means you get the best players on the field this year no matter what
