I rarely pay this close of attention to recruiting and this is the reason why... See what happens I dive in and get excited and rugpull... I am sorry, it is my fault. I am meant to be a floater and an occasional quipper...

The NIL battles are real. A&M must have upped their offer here. We'll see what happens Thursday :)

Gut punch. Is ND gonna step up to the plate and beat A&M’s offer? If this was a done deal to ND then the only thing that could’ve changed is money. Call Mendoza or the Vatican Bank or whoever and win this shit!

If A&M gets this done you have to admire their "all in" commitment to fielding a chamoionship team at any expense. Yes, pay for play sucks, but they're not doing anything outside the rules as they currently exist. ND is competing their asses off in both recruiting and the NIL game, but A&M is trying to out together an "all time" class.

It will be exciting to see this play out!

Without knowing the numbers, it's impossible to say. At some point you simply have to make your best offer and if it's not strong enough, you move on to the next guy. You can't put your program in NIL jeopardy simply to sign one guy, as good as he might be. If A&M has more money to spend, that's the way of it!

Feels like a power move for Texas A&M. I wonder if the agent was floating ND as the leader and telling everyone so that they could extract more out of Texas A&M, or if he "was" coming.

This is dumb. Still a great recruiting week and may even get better but 5*'s don't grow on trees and we were really feeling good here.

Linebacker is not a premier position like QB, OT, DE, DT, CB (where we’ve recruited exceptionally well this cycle). There is a ceiling on how much they are worth, even for the #1 LB in the country.
