His dad is an alum. He could have just asked to take an official. We seemingly aren’t in a position to process him…yet

Irvin also tentatively set to visit A&M per Loy

“when the dust settles, I'm not sure he'll be in the class.”

I like Irvin. He's small, but I think he's going to be a baller at the next level.

That said, if he bailed and we somehow ended up with two of Igwebuike, Henderson amd Satele, I wouldn't shed a tear.

That said, I wouldn't reach too far down the board at linebacker if ND can only land one that they like in this class. The transfer Portal is whole other recruiting "season" of sorts.

What does processed mean

It means forced out of the class / told to look around for other options by the coaching staff. The context is usually that the staff is recruiting over said player, or a new position coach / coordinator has been hired and is not a fan of said player and wants to go in a different direction.

There has been no indication to this point that said "processing" has happened here.

If he’s gonna visit A&M can we stop the “we processed him” talk?

We’ll see. A&M is interesting for sure. Other two recent mentions are Missouri and Michigan State. Would like to think we don’t lose a kid to those schools without an asterisk

Next year our lb depth could be: KVA, Madden, Ausberry, Kia, Davis Jr....that isn't bad! Obviously you don't want to recruit zero LBS this class, but we should take 1 or 2 and monitor who develops their senior year. Also, maybe talk to Gray about reclassifying?

I'd be happy if we kept one of KVA or Ausberry I doubt both come back, I feel like KVA has the most to benefit he's probally a 3rd rounder if he comes out this year because he really hasn't played much, if he can stay healthy he a lock for a first round pick.

Keeping KVA is more important imo (duh lol). Ausberry will probably be best served getting a fifth year whether at ND or some place else

If KVA comes back next season it’ll be because he never got fully healthy & had an underwhelming season or ND didn’t make or made an early exit in the CFP. If he comes back when expected & picks up where he left off & ND goes deep into the CFP, he would have played enough to get a good draft status.
