Trump was like Oprah last night "YOU get a Medal of Freedom, YOU get a Purple Heart...." - too long winded and drawn out for my taste but definitely drew a strong contrast against the hateful Dems.

Too bad the Republicans will reward him with zero meaningful legislation and shitty Congressional candidates. War in Iran gonna be lit.

Bullshit.

The American Rescue Plan was not a coloring book. It was a partisan choice and an expensive gas can to inflation.

Ironically, the Inflation Reduction Act was a spending handout bill and likely fraud package that just printed more cash on partisan lines.

Biden chose to spend high, ignore the supply chain woes, implement activist energy policy that drove prices at the pump way up ( remember those stickers on every pump saying I did that with Joe pointing at the price) and they were way too slow to respond to the transitory Putin price hikes because their nose ring economists thought it would pass. All self inflicted, like the open border ( which does what to demand?)

Do you believe that inflation was something only experienced in the US during that time? Are you trying to tell me the US which is in a net deficit position isn’t subject to outside events/economies? That level of economic analysis would maybe get you a passing grade at Trump University or Colouring Book U.

The onus is on you to show how inflation in the US under Biden was his fault and not the typical way that developed economies react to global events.

This is like saying that a team who played LSU in 2019 was the worst team in college football, without actually understanding how other teams handled it.

Again, use papers not propaganda to support your position. Tell me why the US economy in your opinion is sheltered from the rest of the world, or how the American president can dictate price controls to other nations.

Your LSU analogy actually proves my point.

If every team played LSU, and one team decided to spot them 14.5 points before kickoff, that team’s loss margin is partly LSU… and partly self-inflicted. Global shocks were LSU.

Domestic fiscal expansion (Biden's choices) was spotting points. In other words- they made it worse to fund the NGOs and left wing causes.

No one is saying a U.S. president controls global prices. The point is that policy decisions here at home can either amplify or cushion inflation compared to other countries dealing with the same global shocks. That’s not some fringe talking point or coloring book, it’s a mainstream economic debate with plenty of serious academic work behind it. Larry the Liberal should know that. But acting like massive fiscal expansion has zero inflation risk just because inflation was global isn’t thoughtful analysis, it’s convenient framing. An LSU straw man, like Brian Kelly.

Joe Biden’s campaign speech talking points don’t have any bearing on what actually happened, if we were to base campaign speech’s vs results we’d see countless posts about Mexico paying for the wall, tariffs paying for things, and that DOGE reduced spending but we all know those were complete failures.

Somehow the words are confusing you. You must read like Gavin Newsom. I argued that the policy decisions made by Joe Biden amplified the inflation and affordability problem. You said coloring books and excuses. I asked you to point to which policy on my list of inflation accelerating policies made by Joe Biden and tell me which one did not accelerate inflation.

You then went back to coloring books and whatever zoo animal sideshow SOTU shit you like and gave me some bullshit strawman LSU analogy. I explained to you again, global situation being what it be- Biden’s decisions were like spotting LSU two touchdowns in unforced errors, to which you came back with this dumb shit which is entirely irrelevant. You have been provided with the facts and figures, and it’s just “well you see Biden had a stimulus package, and that’s why every developed economy had an inflation rate that was nearly identical. If Biden didn’t do that, well he’d have inflation under control.” That is not a rational argument in front of any person with a functioning brain.

If you were able to support it with numbers you would have done it by now. This is what happens when AI memes meant for seniors are treated as truth but can’t even pass a sniff test.

Venezuela is already better. They have food in the grocery stores now and will also have elections by the end of the year. Also, Cuba, Russia and China are out of there now.

If you are a developing country, then you are either going to be under the influence of Russia, China or the US. Better the US(warts and all)than the other two plus Cuba.

It is really hard to justify this morally. As a conservative, I'm not a fan of shifting goalposts. Not sure how to justify launching a regime change when the evidence of an imminent threat seems more flimsy than yellow cake uranium.
I'm also not a fan of taking these risks when the direct beneficiary appears to be Israel, not the U.S. But what do I know.
I especially don't like the idea of the public having zero say. Appears Trump was going to carry this out whether we liked it or not.

Im also not a huge fan of interfering with other sovereign nations, no matter how awful we think they are. If anything, we set the standard. Otherwise, there is no order. Russia can do whatever they please, China, too. It boils everything down to might makes right.

I'm not sure I understand, what intelligence are you talking about? Maybe I missed it(I'm not being facetious). What exactly was the USS Maine here? The legit or manufactured excuse. What was the Lusitania, the Pearl Harbor attack, the gulf of tonkin incident, the invasion of kuwait, the world trade center attack, the yellow cake uranium?

The Ayatollah did not want to meet our demands. They were negotiating from a position of weakness and made zero concessions for their ballistic missile program, their foreign terror proxies, and their rapid attempts to reconstitute their nuclear refining capability. Obviously none of the actual intel is public, but speculation has been that they were making dirty bombs.
