Yes it does, but at least Denny didn't get it. Hopefully this is the last year of this shit. This championship format absolutely sucks
This championship format absolutely sucks
He would’ve but all the extra stuff they added to nascar has really killed my love of the series. Zilisch not winning the Xfinity championship broke me last night.Larson would be the champion under the Latford system as well.
Love HMS, Jeff Gordon and the four drivers. Pumped!
Damn wish I knew some former team owners to get something as cool as that! Was recently gifted 4 tix and month of May garage pass for '26 Indy 500 by a former car team owner. Will also be working the inaugural race in Arlington, TX in March, and always go to the Indy race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, WI. Will allow for some scouting for VRBO for game in September at Lambeau Field.
It was a freak encounter. He was the closer on a real estate transaction. I recognized his name and told him I worked with Indy Car for several years and that there was a guy in the series with the same last name. Turns out that guy was his cousin. Needless to say, the closing was delayed as we talked Indy Car, and I ended up with his lifetime tix (for placing in top 10) for the Indy 500.Damn wish I knew some former team owners to get something as cool as that!
Just seen that....what the hellRIP to former Nascar driver for JR motorsports Michael Annett. Passed away yesterday.
It's much, much better.NASCAR returns next week. The chase formats from 04-2013 (with some tweaks) is returning. How are my fellow IE racing fans feeling about the return of nascar & the changes that have been implemented?
Im with you. 36 race points format is the best option. But I’ll take the chase & the elimination of “win and get in” nonsense as a compromise for now. Much like the cfp where I wish it was 16 teams I’ll take 12 over the previous 4 or the BCS just choosing two teams.36 races would have been better but it’s still immensely better than what they had. Thankfully I don’t have to hear playoffs(how can you have a playoff when you don’t play?) in NASCAR anymore
I think you will be surprised to see in person these cars almost attached to each other lap after lap! It’s a fun one to watch i person especially if seated high enough you can see mostly all the way around. Pit stops are actually cool to watch. Have fun! I also love Indy across from pits or sitting in turn 3!Indy Car fan here, but recently won a 4 day trip to Orlando with 2 Daytona 500 tix, so will be my first NASCAR race. Looking forward to it.
I thought it was a solid race. Agree. The plate package sucks and the mass fuel saving isn’t the greatest look. I’m just glad the end of the race didn’t turn into a shit showWhat did everyone think of the Daytona 500? As a Reddick fan I loved the ending but I don’t particularly care for the racing on plate tracks like Daytona so the overall race was pretty blah to me.
My seats are coming from a former car owner, so expecting something nice, buy=t taking whatever I get. Haven't been back to Indy for 25. Will attend inaugural Arlington GP and Alabama GP prior to Indy. And Road America in June.Cool! will be at Indy as well! Section H
We always park at a guys house off 12th St for Indy and the Brickyard. Bout a 10 minute walk to the track from there. It's nice cause he lets you use his restroom. For Indy, what is best plan for parking? Is there shuttle service to/from from locations across city?
I’ve only ever seen major a major racing series at Gateway so I can only imagine that the spectacle of the Indy 500 is greater than Daytona. On the nascar front while I totally understand the magnitude of what Daytona represents to nascar I enjoy the racing more (so would want to attend a race there more) at Martinsville, Darlington, Bristol, & Homestead.Just back from Daytona...first NASCAR race after 40+ years following Indy Car. Was OK, probably since I generally like racing, but thought it was rather boring event. Great seats high in Turn 4, could see the whole track. It was free, and I'd go again if free, but probably would not pay top attend. Also had access to Fan Zon prior to race. Best part for me was the prerace Thunderbirds air show.
Will be in Indy in May.
Lots of options and there is plenty of parking withing a reasonable distance. The key is getting out after. The police handling traffic have it down to a science, but with 300K people, it does take some time to get out. Check IndyGo the cities bus system. Not sure if they still do, but they use to run shuttles from downtown. Police give them preferential treatment and let them skip past the traffic. You get there pretty quickly. For Indy, what is best plan for parking? Is there shuttle service to/from from locations across city?
