A bit of good news: the owners are in the process of installing the security certificate. Please bear with us as I understand this may take a few days of rebuilding certain parts of the database in the background.
If you're having these issues, could you please let us know if you've cleared your cookies and cache and/or tried a cache refresh (i.e., Ctrl + F5). That way I can let them know that this isn't just a refresh issue.
Quick update:
1. Icons should be fixed now. Looks like this was connected to removing the offending script while trying to fix the CPU issue.
2. On the CPU issue, a cache refresh (i.e. Ctrl + F5) should resolve any lingering problems but please let us know if you're still having issues.

Thanks for the input folks. I'm going to ask the owners to take a look at this thread in particular so that we can hopefully clear up any outstanding issues -- including the HTTPS piece.
I'm now told that the site never had a security certificate (i.e., the site was never a https site). It looks like a few browsers recently started flagging all non-https sites but this site isn't any less secure than it had been.
I'll reach out to the owners again re: the busted icons.
