That is his realism. Just because you don't share in the same opinion doesn't make it any less realistic.
To say we will be worse because you haven't seen the up and coming players play is premature. We knew what guys like Blanton and Gray would give us but we don't know what BJax, Jalen Brown (Floyd raved about him btw), Josh Atkinson, Cam McDaniel, probably K. Russell at some point, Lo Wood (limited action) can do for us.
Then he needs to stop taking crazy pills.
Look, I understand people that want to think we're gonna somehow pull together a 10 win season with unproven players losing our best offensive weapon and both corners, but I just don't see it. And I think that's a resonable assessment.
And with the way we played at QB, and the fact that we're going to be probably be starting a guy with limitied playing experience, I'd say 8 wins is being VERY optimisitic.
I will root for them every SAT and hope they win every game. But I'm done with trying to convince myself that they can win every game with IF'S and BUT'S. When making predictions, I'll shoot low (which is wise these days) and hope they suprise me.
7-8 wins this season. Which is fine with our schedule, new guys, and the fact that we blew it in recruiting(yes, we got a couple guys...but be honest with yourselves, it left a whole lot more to be desired). Kelly just better kick some major a$$ in living rooms this year.
I still think, with a good recruiting class, we have a great season in 2013. I've called that from the beginning.
