What are some of the little things that fans of many other teams dont get to enjoy that you are thankful for? The Grotto? The Band? A grass field? Please share!!!

I don't know how to describe it, it's probably not wholly thankfulness, but it's amazing that after so many years of truly awful football, I still can never refrain from watching every ND game. There's something to be said for that.

Also, we easily have one of the most diehard student sections in the country, and the tradition surrounding a Notre Dame gameday are absolutely unparalleled.

yes I love the student section too they are crazy!!! I'm also thankful for NBC and having our own network!!! Although I DO wish that we could have an ND alum in the announcer booth rather than a USC (pat haden) or B.C. grad (Mayock)...maybe....regis!!!! lol

not looking forward to Gilmore (Stanford) calling the bowl game either

for me....the grotto.

it's truly a spiritual place for me and i've been lucky to have visited it twice. i look forward to taking my wife and child there one day so they can feel how special the place is.

ND is not a "football factory".

ND wants students who will apply themselves and graduate.

Also, I have to echo what RRF said above.

To me, Notre Dame is about family. They are a unit which genuinely cares about one another, on and off the field, in the community, in the classroom and in their personal lives. That said, Notre Dame is one which has always brought my family together. Every game day, we plan a big meal at one of our houses (usually mine) and eat and drink and talk about the good ol' days gone by. Game days involving Notre Dame reminds each of us how important an experience it is to us, but it also reminds us how important we are to each other as a family.
