Hopefully we get their secondary. That is one step towards building a championship caliber defense.

Congrats Ironman 8! The team will still be stacked next year, not National Title, but def state champs again.

We Ironmen are just enjoying our time on top right now until the pendulum swings back. But it sure is sweet while it lasts. 2 out of 3 years ain't bad ;)

Congrats to Yuri, Elijah, Darius, Leonte, Jabril & Co. Easily one of the most talented teams man-for-man in Bosco history to be honest. The only thing that held them back from being the best is the QB play.

Hopefully ND can reel in Yuri and Elijah, and they can bring the talent and winning pedigree from DB to South Bend and help our secondary for years. Go Ironmen and go Irish!

Not to take anything away from the team because they're very good, but how can you declare a high school football team "national champions?"

Let's see, rank the teams during the year, adjust the rankings weekly as they win or lose, and at the end of all the games declare the highest ranked team national champions. It's a process which has been going on for decades. Twenty years ago or so, my sister sent me a box of Wheaties with my old high school's football team picture on the front of the box above the title, "NATIONAL CHAMPIONS". She bought it in a store 1000 miles from the high school.

The best thing is it's done without the hundreds of millions of dollars of corruption of the BCS system.

The real shame is that both Don Bosco and Trinity (the other school that is in consideration for best in the nation) talked and tried to set up a game at the end of both their season, but were not allowed to do so. I absolutely would have loved to see that game, but once again we see an example of teams not being able to settle such debates on the field because of the questionable decisions by the few in power.

If I counted right there were about 11 undefeated teams in that top 25. Unless it was determined by some sort of playoff system (which I'm NOT advocating for), it is ridiculous to crown a high school team as national champs.

Yeag, I mean its not like college has ever had more than one undefeated team and named one of them champions. Or worse, had a one loss team named champions over an undefeated team.
...HIgh sch national champions how silly. F&#* those guys amirite?

Last CSS, College Sports South, had a recruiting segment on and they highlighted Don Bosco as the High School National Champions. They pointed out had Bosco took care of business locally and across the country against a tough bunch of opponents.
