They are going to struggle with athletic teams all year and they aren't very good.

My thoughts:

Atkins: is a backup point guard at best. A little pressure on him and he looks like he is clueless on what to do next.
Grant: is wreckless and needs more time. He'll be a solid player by the end of the season.
Martin: is streaky and I swear I spend most of the time screaming "wtf!?!? are you doing martin!!!!
Abro: will be carrying this team all year and he is more suited as a setup player getting touches from a slasher.
Cooley: Wow, he looks worthless at times. He is the true definition of clogging up the middle.
Connaughton: he will be a special player, he just needs time.
Dragicevich: I don't know much about his past. I do know he looks lost out there.
Brooks: He hustles... that about all I can say about him.

They just dont have enough talent, the next class coming in can't get here any faster. They may have enough to make it to the NIT.

Then again I hope I'm wrong and they flip the switch and do magical things.

I agree, ND will struggle against teams that can run the floor. It is a matter of time before Brey goes back to the burn offense.

Dont agree with Atkins. He is widely considered one of the better true guards in the big east. Remember, just a sophomore.

Also, Grant I think is already special. Guy is getting to the rim at will tonight

still like Atkins after another poor showing? I'm beginning to question if he can dribble with his off hand.

Atkins will be fine. I'll reserve judgment for Big East play. Doesn't help that there isn't much around him.

Atkins, Grant, Cooley, and Connaughton are a great foundation. They are all pretty raw but have talent. With the freshmen coming in, this could be a good team next year.
