Sickening.

On one hand, you hate to hear about stuff like this happening. On the other hand, it is happening, so its better to find out about it so we can give the sons of bitches that do this to kids what they have coming to them.

I hope these stories coming out embolden more and more kids to break their silence so that we can get as many of these monsters off the streets as we can.

If this should go in the Penn State Scandal thread, go ahead an move it. But I thought this could become a major story in itself and not really related to the Penn State thing.

Apparently nobody has read this yet because there are very important things happening in some talentless famous peoples' personal lives, but it is alleged here that some of the abuse occurred at the 1987 Final Four.

Syracuse said they investigated the claim in 2005 but, since the coach denied it and nobody else could corroborate the alleged victim's story, they didn't do anything about it and Fine is still on Boeheim's bench.

I agree this is sickening...and if any and all allegations can be corroborated and proven true I hope these malcontents roast for it...but I hope this doesn't open the floodgates and it becomes like the modern day Salem witch trials with tons of allegations that drag down innocent people.

I hear you, but there is so much stigma attached to this kind of situation that the problem is usually getting victims to come forward, not people making allegations up. It is horrible to falsely accuse someone of any crime, especially a sex crime, but anyone that does make an allegation should be taken seriously because of what it says to other victims.

Obviously this is terrible if true, but let's not let the PSU situation -- where there's a mountain of damning evidence -- affect this guy's day in court or his presumption of innocence. This type of allegation easily snowballs into a national frenzy, a la the 80's.
