Both studs. I'm looking forward to seeing how we look with Abro back.

PG: Atkins
SG: Grant
SF: Abro
PF: Martin
C: Cooley

A bench of Connaughton, Brooks, Dragevich, Knight, and Broghammer. Should be a solid year.

In other news, Joey Brooks has evidently practiced his free throw shooting in the offseason. Wearing that #32 jersey, combined with that shooting, made me think of a younger, svelter, Shaquille O'Neal.

We are missing a true shot blocker (Carelton Scott) which showed tonight. I think we have a very good shot at the tournament when Abro comes back.

Dont care what anyone says about Detroit, that is a great win for a young team. Would not want to be a 5 or 6 seed in the NCAA's and see Detroit as my opponent. They are dangerous.

Detroit is the exact type of team ND specializes in losing to in the tourney. Glad to see a tough win with great rotation on defense. Also, Connaughton is a beast; I'm looking forward to seeing him playing a lot in the future. With the recruiting class coming in, this team could be legit next season.

I agree, great win. Like returnofmack said, a team ND typically would struggle against. Although, like the 'Phons' repeatedly mentioned...UofD basically shot/undisciplined themselves out of the game at times. Some very stupid shots, very stupid fouls. ND scraps and battles, something good to see. I think they will struggle a bit finding offense at times even with Abro, and will be exposed a bit trying to defend people. Playing Martin at the 4 is going to be a mismatch that hurts us, he looked very slow/unaware on defensive rotations and block outs...hopefully something that is touched on in film. But it seems they still have good cohesiveness, and are willing to battle/scrap people. Hopefully they can get themselves positioned in that 5-8 range in the Big East.
