If we wanted to give the younger guys more snaps we could have done it last week or any of our other blowout wins. You give Dayne plenty of playing time on senior day. He's represented this university very well during his career here.

I don't think recognizing seniors for their contributions and achievements is a "participation trophy". There are a lot of people who can't do what they've done. They are about to become graduates of Notre Dame.

Even with Dayne's issues, I think we are still where we are with him in. I love that Rees has us where we are but I think Dayne could have as well. Your a bit rough with your statement. As far as the seniors who have made the 4 years as walk-ons and the guys who have never cracked the 2 deep ... enjoy the tunnel and everything you have accomplished. You are far better individuals than most out there. Including myself and you should be proud. As far as the 2 deep, put them all in together. It won't lose the game if we are up by 21/28/90...
