Mentally preparing for a road game even though technically its a home game.

Every team they have played this year has played their best against ND. Offensively Marlyand can put points on the board. Good skill players. Defense has good athletes. Edsall has good memories of coming into South Bend and winning. Notre Dame needs to take care of their own business this week.

Injuries: Cave out for season, surgery in the next few days. Need to repair a ligament. He will be back next year.

Has confidence in Golic, he came in and played very well.

Riddick won't play because of a hamstring injury. Looks better than it did, but is still tender today.

Ethan Johnson should play, will be big this week.

Ankle guys are Manti and Lynch, responded to treatment and will play.

Nuss will be the backup center this week.

Heggie will be in the 2 deep at guard.

Toma will start at Riddick's spot. TJ and Goodman will both rotate in at the spot.

Hounshell struggled with shoulder during practice last week and then got sick. Should be back this week.

Kelly doesn't pick the site for the off campus games, treating like road game.

Other than SC week, BK has been happy with how team has practiced and started games for the last year and a half.

Slaughter is key against teams with a lot of athletes because of his versatility.

Golic is excellent at snapping, has been since day 1. He has improved his strength and is able to move his feet well. BK was worried initially about getting Golic snaps before he went in. Rees told him he was comfortable with Golic and there was no need.

Te'o has to practice this week. He will do team stuff but not individual drills.

Trevor Robinson has been making most of the protection calls and will take the load off of Golic. Cave recognizes fronts but Robinson gets final say.

Tommy needs to realize when teams drop safety down to take away the middle of the run game.

Harrison played his best game of the year against Wake. He got beat up before Kelly arrived at ND. Was told how he couldn't do things. He has been a good player, good leader, good captain since Kelly arrived. Selected for the Senior Bowl.

Waiting in airports for Lynch and Tuitt was worth it. The staff knew how important each of them were to success moving forward.

Maryland prevents a huge challenge for secondary. Two different style QBs and play making WRs.

Wake could have been best victory because of having to tough out win on road. Wins like that are gratifying for those inside program, not so much for others outside. Next man in was big.

Staff makes some adjustments at half, but they aren't some gurus. A lot of credit goes to players making plays.

staff gets together at half, BK gives overview, both coordinators give their input. Talk about decisions that need to be made and then pass info to team.
