Need to build on last week, dominating lines needs to be carried over. Wake is skilled and athletic.

Don't read into Hendrix not getting into the Navy game, the flow of the game didn't dictate him getting action.

Need to work on proper footwork and catching the ball on swing passes. They are intended to be forward passes, not laterals.

Strength of Wake's team is the WR corp. Getting ball to playmakers is important for them.

Need to take care of football and pick up Wake's defensive pressure before. D front is athletic and disruptive.

Young guys will continue to have to play along D line and will need to play in both 3 and 4 man fronts. Ethan will continue to be evaluated during the week. The team didn't do a whole lot yesterday practice wise.

TJ Jones is underutilized at this point.

Jonas Gray has focused on being a better teammate, player, student which has led to his success this year. Finishing his runs like Kelly wants and its fun to watch.

Salvi well respected by teammates, helps team morale to have him recognized as captain. Players and coaches were all excited for him.

Kelly likes maturity on the road, but hasn't really talked about it with the team. Has done so in the past but doesn't feel it necessary with this group.

Kelly says Tommy doesn't compare to Wake's QB because he isn't left handed.

First question last week's family issues. 108 people in the lockerroom, doesn't want to single out one player as to how it was handled. (question was about how Harrison handled situation as far as talking to team)

Manti has a great deal of pride in what he does. He was on Saturday as was the entire defensive front.

Offensive line starts with 5 good players, has a good coach in Warriner. Backs are committed to blocking, Tommy gets ball out quickly. No Sack October more than just OLine.

Oline works well together and has great consistency as far as getting starts together.

Kelly has an opinion on conference realignment. Swarbrick and he talk regularly. ND will do everything they can to stay independent, but it will have to see how things play out.

Tries to get a sense of where his team is mentally every Monday. Doesn't share where they are now.

Carolinas have increased DI football players. Important to recruit there. Notre Dame has always had a strong presence in the states. Helps to have players from both Carolinas on current roster when talking to recruits.

Floyd has been spectacular. Dominating. Has great burst.

Biggest improvement is when he decided to change his life. Floyd has benefited greatly from that.

Punt return philosophy hasn't changed other than putting Floyd back there. Kelly points out the team leading the country in punt returns is 2-6.
