continually labelled as a headcase, mentally weak, loser and the sort. You may feel Rees is better option. You may feel Crist hasn't played well...but to leap to the conclusion of headcase, mentally weak, loser and the sort is frankly out of line...and I just can't believe it has become acceptable to present this blatant fallacy as support for an argument. Crist is one of us and he has carried himself in a manner that I wish some of you could emulate.

Who is this "us" you speak of? Crist is a kid, I'm not. Crist is a great athlete, I'm not. Crist grew up in a life of relative luxury, in SoCal. I grew up in a LOWER Middle Class family, in Ohio.

Crist seems to be one hell of a kid. I've never been down on his character. But he sure as hell isn't anything like me. He's not one of "me".

Having said that.... I get what you are saying, and I completely agree. We can not like a player's product on the field, but that doesn't make him a bad kid, or some kind of loser in life.

I'm sure the kid came here with dreams of NFL but it's like a witch cursed his crib or something as baby. I respect his work ethic and all he brings to the game. He's like the guy brooklyn in all the war movies you just know something bad is gonna happen to him.

I think Crist could go to a traditional style offense team in the Nfl. ANd i would think he is every bit as talented as Matt cassel. He would need to sit for a few years but he could be good for a few teams in the NFL.

I've always admired how hard Crist has worked to come back from two season ending leg injuries. Have especially admired how he has apparently handled himself this year.

I think he so very much wants to play to his abilities he just gets too pumped up, rushes himself. If he would play at 90% of his potential he'd be awfully good. I hope a situation comes up (not an injury) that he shines, gets his "mojo" on the right level.

"us" in that he is a domer. With regards to your comment, he grew up in a different socio-economic condition as I have, I would still say he is one of me. How he has carried himself. How he has come back from adversity. How he has handled the severe and often unfair criticism. These character traits are what I strive for and they do not depend upon socio-economic conditions...though I understand what you are trying to say.
