This is silly. In which game last year did Crist play poorly enough to even consider benching him? His worst game by far was Navy (threw 2 ints) but he also threw a touchdown and was over 60% completion rate. Transport the 2011 version of Tommy Rees to last season and he doesn't take a single snap away from Crist.
Commentators are acting as if the position is a huge question mark. Crist was good, though certainly not great, in 2010 and there are no indications he is going to regress in 2011.
