According to NMPreps recruiting analyst, Kyle Henderson:
Carlsbad returns a ton of talent form the 2010 season and leading the way at running back at the very electric 5-foot-9, 176 pound Eric Galindo. Galindo had a monster season in 2010 as a junior and helped Carlsbad win district 4-5A, something that Carlsbad had not done in quite some time. What makes Galindo such a weapon on offense is his field vision and his break away speed. Last year Galindo ran for well over 1,500-yards and scored over 15 total touchdowns.

Yikes... I heard people from Carlsbad aren't right in the head. Like "The Hills Have Eyes" kind of stuff.

jk, Kid seems legit. What talk have you heard about ND?

His dad and I work at the same plant, WIPP, in Carlsbad. He said Eric has interest but hasn't made any contact with anyone. I told him I would post a video highlight of his son if he uploaded it to youtube four days ago.

Apparently, either this helped or it coincided with NMPreps posting his highlights.

The kid is flat out quick-fast, or "football fast" as his forty time speaks for itself and his 100m times are good by most standards, although not elite. If you shut Eric down, you win the ballgame. That's the defensive scouting report for any team playing Carlsbad. Unfortunately for opposition, stopping Eric is tough to do.

The only team that completely took him out of the ballgame was Roswell Goddard. They had a VERY stout defensive line and the best group of linebackers I've seen in prep football live in this state for a long time.

I'm hoping some scout/recruiter decides to check out our website and sees Eric's stuff.

I'd be a happy Carlsbadian to have a kid I've known for a longtime go to ND.

Eric's older brother, Jacob, was a heck of an athlete and he plays for Eastern New Mexico University.

Eric's dad was an all-state football player. His family has a longline of athletes; they've all had great ability throughout the history of Carlsbad sports...

Any advice posters?

Burn his tape onto a dvd and send it to Lemming. A lot of kids get their first exposure that way.

Or.... Team up with his dad and tell him that you are going on a fishing trip. Pack the rods, tents, etc into the car and start down the highway. Accidently drive to South Bend. BAM!

The Lemming thing isn't a bad idea.

National SOS hurts him a lot.

What camps are left this summer he could get in on?

The Lobos camp starts on the 18th, and you dont have to be invited to go. Here is the link to the online registration and info on it. There is a contact phone number as well. He should definetely go to the Lobo camp (its not expensive at all), there will be plenty of scouts there.

On Lemming, i've been told that Lemming has an entire staff that does nothing but watch tape of kids that are unsolicited. Lemming found Michael Oher this way.

Is it just me or does anyone else see the Tate resemblance?! Has the speed, breaks tackles, runs the ball, catches the ball...hell, he even wears #23. I'm sold!

For those of you that dont know the area this kid comes from, it is an extention of Texas Football. Many quality kids in the Carlsbad/Hobbs area--

You can't forget about the dad-gum Bulldogs of Artesia. (Landry Jones, anyone? Artesia is 30 minutes north.)

Did you recognize the 'Burque mountains there NDFSW, against Manzano? They (Manzano) should have won it all last year.

I think I noticed your backyard...

Johnny, what's the update on Eric? Just curious if he got any real offers. Kids seems like a real athlete/playmaker.

Eric may play some football at the next level, but he's going to concentrate on his speed: track.

That's according to his father.
