When it's all said and done, the Notre Dame football team could play more than half its games in 2011 at night.
The Irish battle with Purdue on October 1st will kickoff at 8pm, the Big Ten announced on Thursday. That gives Notre Dame five night games already with kickoff times for Pitt and Wake Forest yet to be announced.
Notre Dame will play Michigan in the first night game ever at Michigan Stadium September 10th at 8pm. It will be broadcast on ESPN.
The Irish will host its first night game in two decades against USC on October 22nd on NBC. Notre Dame's neutral site game against Maryland at FedExField will be a 7:30 kickoff as well on November 12th on NBC.

Seems like every couple weeks a new night game is announced for ND. I know most people have already given their opinion on the night vs day question. But do you guys think the night games could help in recruiting? I figure on the West Coast some kids might miss early Eastern games being played just after noon their time. As much as I love a Saturday afternoon ND game I think mixing in more night games can be a good thing.
