Think when the playoffs start we can do one for who'll win the cup?

Very cool, or any other games you find appealing.

I am interested to see how baseball betting works.

I am interested to see how baseball betting works.

Baseball works primarily on moneylines (I believe). But I think that there is a run line and a moneyline similar to hockey.

So Phillies -1.5 runs at home would be +300 (depending on the pitcher) vs. Houston +1.5 runs would be -220.

If Halladay was pitching at home vs. a #3 starter then the Phillies could be like -400 straight up (no run line) and I could have sworn I saw Halladay at -1000 at some point last year.

There are reverse run lines where you can take Houston -1.5 on the road and the'd be like +450.

Over Under runs are generally around 8.5. So If two beat pitchers were facing two solid offenses then youd see over 8.5 -200.

Or if 2 aces were pitching the over/under might be 7.5 but the under might be -200 (because it is more likely that less than 7.5 runs will be scored).

I dont have a feel for baseball odds so I was guessing and what the - or + would be.

I have heard people say you can make money off of baseball and others stay away from baseball.

Baseball, beyond a shadow of a doubt, is the hardest sport to bet on. It's all one big game of probability and math... there are stats for EVERYTHING. It isn't uncommon to see lines like -127 or +133 because the odds making is truly a science. At least those were my experiences dabbling over at centsports.com.

On a side note, anyone else ever try centsports? I got from 10 cents up to over $80 but they wouldn't let me cash out so I quit. Some bull**** about only being able to pay a small amount of people each period. I found that college football was by far the easiest sport to bet on. People put way too much emotion into setting lines.

you all could have that much money too if you took UCONN every game since the BE tourney haha.

I'm afraid to risk confidence based on vBucks...

I received the tag "Green Kool Aid Advocate" long before UConn's rash of success.

I'm tempered, somewhat.

Others (professionals) may tag me with "learned helplessness."

How about "Will the Red Sox win a game before the end of the Masters?"
