Even though it didn't impact the outcome, the game alone had huge implications in the Big East seeding for the tournament.

ND is now 1 game behind Pitt for the regular season title and they own the head-to-head tiebreaker. However, if ND doesn't win tomorrow night versus Nova or at UCONN on the 5th of March they could conceivably not get a double bye in the Big East Tournament. St. John's plays at Seton Hall and then at home versus USF. Louisville plays Providence and then at West Virginia. Both teams have considerably easier schedules down the stretch than ND. As much as I'd love for ND to win the regular season title, I'd much rather have the extra rest while the other teams beat the **** out of each other in the first two rounds. I'd also like to avoid playing St. John's in the tournament too. They're hot and every game for them is a home game.

Nova and UConn have been so up and down this season. I'm sure they'll be ready to take on ND though.

We def have the toughest remaining schedule, but Seton Hall if Hazel has a great night could knock off St. John's and as we all know so well anyone could lose a game in Morgantown.
