From same high school as other 2012 ND targets Mario Edwards and Jordan Richmond. Coach believes he is a lock for a Texas offer. Diaco and Kelly were at the high school a couple weeks ago checking out all three prospects.

Texas prints off two copies of the offer to each kid because the ink is still fresh when the kid is signing the offer and smudges it, then they give him the second one as the has had time to dry.

I would like to see a stat on the # of kids from the state of Texas that actually leave the state to play post secondary football. 2010, 2 to ND and 1 to Okla.

Dude, TONS of kids leave the state to play football. Not kids who have TX offers (most of the time), but the 'supposedly' lesser talented kids leave TX a lot, and go to places such as Oklahoma (they get their share of TX studs, for sure). Missouri also has made a living off of recruiting Texas kids.

True but by junior day Texas will have like 15- 16 recruits and top 5 recruiting class every year.

That's well-known knowledge. Ever since Mack Brown took over he put a fence around Texas and cherry picks the top juniors in the state. But the point remains that tons of players leave TX to go to other schools. The other poster could only name 3 off the top of his head, when in fact teams like Missouri, OK, and OK State live off of TX recruits. Check this out; these are the commits from the state of TX from THIS YEAR'S recruiting classes from some out-of-state schools:

* Oklahoma - 12 commits from TX
* Arkansas - 6
* Oklahoma St. - 20 (!!!)
* Missouri - 9 (out of only 17)
* Nebraska - 5

That's just 5 programs. So as you can see, TX sends plenty of players to schools out of state...

LA: a few more to make your point--Iowa State[7]; Kansas State and Tulsa[8]; Kansas and Wyoming[9]; Colorado State[11]. Even schools like Pitt, Michigan, Minnesota reach down there [3 each this year]. The Houston area produces more major college athletes than any other place in the nation.
