when i seen it on sports center last night after ravens/texans game i almost choked. im a huge phillies fan and the first thing that came to mind is that i guessed they were embarrassed by getting out pitched by the giants. was it that noticeable. that-a-boy finally they fix the problem needed. the rotation is insane. world series or bust.

Signing Prior is a low risk move that could pay off if by some miracle he is recovered. Lord knows the Yankees can afford to take a flier on the guy. What it is not is a panic move in response to what the BoSox have done.

They know they missed out on everything else and they're panicing...the only shot they've got left is if they can strike a deal for Greinke, but that would/will cost them. They're rotation outside of Sabathia is very questionable.

Of course the sox rotation has it's own questions hopefully Beckett and Lackey can regain their dominant form...if they do and Buchholz and Lester continue to improve, we have the best rotation in the league not the Phillies.
