Just wanted to share my experience at the ND vs. USC game this past week. Upon arriving to the collisuem at noon I didnt know what to expect, let alone where to find Irish fans and tailgate. As soon as we walked in, we were welcomed by a parade of Irish fans marching through USC tailgaters, singing and having a blast. My favorite Irish fan had to be the man in a green ND jersey with a Gold helmet on...double fisted!

My friend and I had no idea where to go so we followed these awesome fans all the way through the USC tailgates...talking trash and havinging fun. While following the crowd, we bumped into an Irish fan named Tim who took us in like he was adopting us...took us to his tailgate, introduced to the family and friends and even fed us corn beef sandwhiches and free sierra neveda on tap! I'd like to think this guy was my guardian angel..haha

After drinking for a couple of hours we went to see the team come in from the buses. Here, we chanted and mocked SC fans walking by with chants like, "Cheaters", "We are, ND" and my personal favorite..."OJ" ( you have to say it like fans used to get to Darrel Strawberry!)

Once the team arrived, took a pic of some players, got a shot of BK and even the mascot and cheer girls... ;)

Finally we sat in the cold and wet seats and rallied behind the few ND fans surrounding our seats and it was the best feeling in the world to see the look on all those spoiled fans...priceless

Its just amazing to see the fans the we have, their hospitality and how awesome the Notre Dame nation really is....Thanks Tim!

I was there too. I have been to every ND-USC game at the Coliseum since 2000. It was an amazing feeling walking out of there with a win after all those years.

Did you sit in the ND section? I have never seen so much pure joy in one place. I was soaking wet, but I don't think I stopped smiling for days.

My favorite yell is this:
When that horse comes out of the tunnel you yell: "Hey what kind of a horse is that?!!"
And your buddy yells out in reply: "It's a white Ford Bronco!!!"

The SC fans love that one.

edit: This was the first ND road game I have been to where the players didn't come and raise their helmets to the ND part of the crowd after the game. I have seen them do it after wins and losses in various stadiums. Anybody have any thoughts on why they didn't do it this time?
