1. Scoring points/game (USC 35.00, ND 24.67)

2. Red zone scoring plays/game (USC 4.25, ND 2.89)

Except for a home advantage (Sagarin 3.17)
all other stats are pretty much equal.

It is probably due to the Barkley injury, but it is hard to find a line on this game. However, it looks like the Trojans are going to be favored by 4 points. So this analysis is spot on. Statistically it looks to be very close. The big question is how SC react to Mustain as their leader - do they rally or throw it in. SC seems to be the most volatile team in CFB this year playing at all quality levels.

Should be a good game, but I like our chances in the battle of the backups.

Sagarin assigns a home field advantage (3.17) which is
the average through last weekend. Sagarin does not do
individual teams. The Keeper site, listed below, does.

USC's hfa is 5.12, so even with 1/4 of the seats, it
is still substantial...Tom

This is the year the Irish will prevail. Look at the last two weeks. Look how the D and Special Teams played. Watching us beat Utah and Army with such conviction and looking like a completely different team makes me believe they have finally started clicking. I am just impressed with everything right now. Two weeks in a row the Defense allowed a field goal on the opening drive then shut out the rest of the game. Special Teams has been phenomenol. We are just playing all around good football and I don't see it stopping this week. GO IRISH! BEAT TROJANS!
